  1. Contrast “the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ” (2 Cor 11:3) with the mental gymnastics required to even contemplate, much less follow, a God that is supposedly three-in-one.
  2. Both Christ and a trinity would qualify for the description “a strange deity” (Acts 17:18). Christ is strange because what God in all the history of the world’s religions has become a man? But at least it is comprehensible. The idea of the trinity is more than strange – it is incomprehensible.
