Bible Study Notes (BSN) is part of the appendix to The Duty of a Man, but also a book itself – a reference book. By that, I mean that it is designed for you to read selectively, not sequentially. At over half a million words, it’s way too long for sequential reading. Like an encyclopedia or dictionary, it is for you to consult as needed while you are reading the Bible – especially as you are reading it chapter by chapter (Bible Reading Plan).

cf – compare
e – exhaustive, as in, “the foregoing verses are all there is of the term being addressed”
ff – and following verses
NASB – the New American Standard Bible, as described in copyright below
NT – the New Testament
OT – the Old Testament
PDT, FDT, ODT – various kinds of devotional times
THS – The Holy Spirit
X – (upper case X) Christ (the first Greek letter in Christ is X, which is Chi); our Messiah
x – (lower case x) refers to number of occurrences, as in 3x = 3 times
[ ] – search term(s); (never capitalized because search engines are case insensitive)
