BSN: Solomon

The name Solomon comes from the Hebrew word for “peace.” The same is true for the words “Jerusalem,” “Salem,” and “shalom.”
James Ussher pegs the transfer of David’s kingship to Solomon to have occurred in 1015 BC. Wikipedia says 970 BC. For ease of memory, I usually think of it as 1000 BC.
